This week's OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge was way too difficult for me. Here was the challenge sketch provided by Erika P this week. It's a great challenge... for me!
If you look at any of the cards I've created & displayed here, you'll notice that I'm not a multi-patterned paper user. It overwhelms me. So this challenge was way out of my box.
I took the easy way out. Yes, I will confess that I used patterned paper that somewhat resembled the sketch that I felt I could get away with for this week's challenge. And the whole "vertical sentiment" thing was totally beyond my realm. So I clear embossed a heart stamp then used white Zing for the sentiment.
Best part about this challenge is that it made me use paper I bought that I was probably never going to use in the first place. I apparently bought it hoping that I could get over the whole "multi-pattern" phobia. So here's my interpretation...
Thanks for stopping by!
I don't think you cheated at all- I had a hard time with this one too! All week I kept trying to find vertical sentiments, and this morning gave up and turned the sketch sideways. I like your solution, Wendy!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty Wendy - what a great way to use the pattern papers. I will have to try this one.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty...simple yet elegant! Good Job!!
ReplyDeletePretty! I love the way you did the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteGreat job stepping out of your box!
ReplyDeleteI think it's lovely... the patterns blend so softly together..
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty! It looks so sweet and your papers are just right.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job stepping out of your comfort zone!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I never would have guessed it was "cheated" on. ;) I kind of cheated when I made mine too as all of the papers on my card came from the same paper pack - thus everything matched already.
ReplyDeleteI think it is wonderful! So pretty and elegant. Anyone would love to receive such a beautiful card. You out did yourself when stepping outside your box! Congratulations!
