S&S Midweek Throwdown

This week's MWT is to do a masculine card.  I actually like the challenge of making masculine and gender neutral cards.

I hadn't planned on this card being my submission for the challenge, but when I showed it to the Phantom (aka my husband*), he took one look at it and said, "OMG, this is the coolest card you've ever shown me.  And it's very masculine.  Of all your cards this is the best.  I love everything about this card.  Can I keep it?"

WOW!  Seriously?  I was completely blown away!  It's an OK card and all, but never did I expect that reaction.

*Shipper Dixie has dubbed my husband "the Phantom" since she's never met or spoken to him and questions his existence. It's actually quite fun and even the Phantom enjoys his elusive identity.

*Edit*  The only products used in making this card was Graphic 45 paper, inexpensive card stock, Momento "Potters Clay" ink for the sentiment, a dollar bin acyrillic stamp. Distressing around the sentiment was Adirondack "Pebble" (my newest favorite ink!).

  2. WOW Wendy! You always do such wonderful masculine cards. This one is truly stunning! Love the hand/pen on the paper, and the postage stamps and the stitching. I say it's nice enough to be a piece of art so frame it for the 'Phantom' as a gift. :)

  3. Wow Wendy, these challenge cards just keep getting better and better! I've come from the OWH Stars & Stamps site and have looked at them all. Your husband is funny, he wants to keep it, lol, mail it to him :) Thanks for playing in our masculine challenge at Operation Write Home this week!

  4. Your cards are wonderful. I am new to all the challenges and hope to get up to speed on a blog site so I can start participating in these challenges. I've made some cards but still have to learn how to post things. Thanks for sharing.
