My husband and I have never been big on celebrating Valentine's day, even when we were dating. I'm extremely blessed that he expresses his love for me many times a day and often surprises me with fun stuff for no reason. Therefore, Valentine cards are hard for me to make. But I do like the idea of everyday "love" cards so I thought I'd make a simple, understated, card using this sketch.
I also wanted to try a ribbon tying technique from a tutorial by my friend and former shipper, Dixie. It worked like a charm and was so simple! If you didn't see the tutorial, check it out here!
Patterned Paper: Echo Park "For the Record"
Stamp: Hero Arts CL342
Punch: Martha Stewart
Inks: Archival Sepia and Distress Tea Dye
Yummy! Looooveeee that paper and the xo's! Great job! TFS!!!
ReplyDeleteThis card is a winner! That Echo Park paper is so fun. I like that it can be used all year.
ReplyDeleteHi, Wendy,
ReplyDeleteGreat card -- love the colors. (And, I, too, love Dixie's ribbon technique!)
Thanks for stopping by Scrapping with Purpose -- and for your kind words.
